A Chalk Block Means Less Mess But ...
Let's face it. Using chalk powder and applying it with an applicator brush - it is unbelievably messy unless you are a practiced groomer. I am not a grooming Jedi Knight yet - I am still practicing. So I turn to a chalk block to try to achieve the same effects with more control over the application (and mess). The results from using a chalk block are not quite as effective in terms of coverage and blending, but I do have more precision and can also apply the chalk when the dog is relaxed on the couch so a win win for the dog and I. White chalk is a must for grooming white dogs. I can't speak to the other chalk colours, as I have no experience with them.
