Haima Luxury African Brocade Boubou

Due to paying extra for expedited shipping, the item did arrive within a reasonable timeframe. However, I did not thoroughly inspect it until I was preparing to wear it for a special event. At that point, I noticed several issues with the quality of the garment. The stitching and fabric appear to be separating in multiple areas. There are also numerous sheer and transparent spots throughout the material that look as though the fabric has been snagged or improperly woven. The brocade fabric is extremely translucent, to the point that you can see through parts of the design itself. I have purchased brocade fabrics from several other vendors and have never encountered a fabric where the pattern appeared so thin and see-through. Upon closer inspection, the overall construction of the garment does not appear to be well made. The fabric quality and workmanship left me concerned that the garment could rip, snag further, or fall apart during wear. Because this was intended for a very special event, I ultimately felt uncomfortable wearing it. Unfortunately, this experience is the reason for my low rating.
