I realised very quickly when I first bought the Lancer 300 backpack that I should have specced it with TWO magic arms and not just one But the arm is expensive on its own and shipping it from China as an individual purchase is almost the same cost as the arm So taking advantage of the sale price of the magic arm I was able to reduce that total cost (although shipping STILL cost the same price as the arm doubling its price) All of this though becomes just a minor irritation given the quality of the Coalax Lancer 300 and its accessories Price of purchase and sky high shipping cost aside, I am very happy with my Lancer 300 now having the TWO magic arms it should always have had. I notice the arm has a different manufacturer's name on it but in look, feel and operation, it is otherwise identical to the existing Coalax branded arm. If you like Coalax gear and you can bear the costs I am happy to recommend buying these items

It's good to have it, but it's okay if you don't.
After buying this, you'll have an extra hand to do other things. It might be a bit cumbersome though. ;)))👍

Magic Arm does have some magic
Like all Coalax products, this is an innovative solution to a typical problem...the ability to have rigid, hands-free equipment management especially for POV work. The "magic" part of the Magic Arm works well and the locking mechanisms are intuitive. The selfie sticks extend a long, long way! That said, I think Coalax might invest in a click-to-insert mechanism instead of having the consumer screw the arm in (or out) for use (don't lose those screws!). The click-lock system to adjust the arm in the Z plane could perhaps be a little more finely made. Perhaps lubricate the selfie-stick extensions just a little more. But overall, a great product.
