Cre8audio West Pest Semi-Modular Analog Synthesizer

West coast synthesis, as advertised

I had had my eye set on this synth for a while when perusing usual channels (reverb/bad gear YouTube/etc). I have a korg modular, but I kind of wanted to step up my “west coast semi modular game” from those itty bitty pin inputs to (at least) 1/8” inputs/outputs. So far it’s been very satisfying. I’ve been clocking it via midi with my Arturia mini freak or my Yamaha RY-20, while simultaneously routing the audio from the microfreak/RY-20 through the west pest via the “fold in” or “fm” inputs. I get really cool gritty industrial/nine inch nails type sounds. In addition, the west pest can provide lots of really neat plinky-plunky sounds (bass, guitar, harp, etc).

Great to intro to modular synthesis!

Deathcloud came through really quickly with this little monster on a synth! Still have so much to learn, but so fun and different than any of my other synths.
