Fosi Audio ZP3 Preamplifier

4.5 stars…….budget obsessed!

The ZP# paired two V3 mono blocks each with own 32volt power powering Anthony Gallo Micro balls with brand new 10’inch Gallo TR-1D sub to handle the bottom. The Micros on floor stands (this is important) flanking my home study desk in a 12x13 room is a wonderful combo. All together with balanced cables Source is analog out from a sono’s port and it sounds great! Speakers are rated at 100 watts and I respect that. Those high quality 3 inch drivers embedded a steel with no crossover produce a great open stage. Love this set up as it’s like wearing headphones! Great detail at low volumes. This is what I wanted from the mono blocks. Room is still bright with some acoustic treatment help being shipped soon that should help. Naturally this set up leaves me curious to swap the OP chips either on the amps or the preamp and open things up even more? Add a dedicated streamer/DAC and the CD player? Fosi offers audiophile obsession at a really nice price point. Instead buying equipment and forgoing a vacation with he wife, can buy stuff for the price of nice dinner out! Good job Fosi!!!

This amplifier never worked / only own Chanel could be sent even though I brought two separate speaker amps so I had to discard it

Solid Preamp

You really can't beat it at this price point. I like the combination of balanced and unbalanced connection options, plus the sub out. Great for pairing with the monoblock amps.
