High quality hardware that allows extra length to add backing plates in order on older boats that have thin fiberglass under the gunwale in order to support the load of the brushless trolling motors with longer shafts.

I think that the original kit should contain Tef-Gel and instructions to prevent Galling of the Stainless bolts. When the main bolt seized even though I put grease on it, this cost me another $100.00 and a three day delay on my installation!

We tried to install the mount and the main bolt seized up almost at the end .We had to cut everything back off and mess up both parts of the mounts to cut the bolt off .It was a nightmare to get someone to help with the warranty parts .Then I had to pay 60.00 to get just a bolt and nut sent to me for the holiday weekend .Its a great mount but customer service sucks .
