Horner's most interesting score?
I really love Horner’s early ’80 scores. The traditional big SF sound for Star Trek II & III and Krull, the urban sound of 48 Hrs. and Gorky Park and his modern sound for Brainstorm and Aliens. Aliens is certainly one of Horner’s best orchestrated scores with terrific action cues. I learned that a lot of the strange sounds are not performed by synthesizers but on traditional orchestral instruments! Some musical ideas seem to be lifted from Khachaturian (Gayane) or Penderecki (The Dream of Jacob) but for me this is one of Horner’s best scores. Chris did another wonderful job which makes studying the score very easy and readable. Hopefully he’s working on 48 Hrs. or Brainstorm next.

Perfect!
One of my favourite scores and one of my favourite movies - couldn’t be happier to finally have the full score in my collection.

Unbelievable work! 😁
I praise this score book to the heavens! Such a magnificent piece of work! Thank you so much! I've found some missing notes in a few places and overcopied timpani bars where there is no timpani 😂 But it dwarfs by the overall precision that this book has. Thank you for making this!
