7ven Messenger 16" - Decade Edition

a dream come true to own a full size 7ven messenger bag

I backed 7ven mini many years ago. Enjoyed it and thought of buying 7ven, but Alpaka no longer selling 7ven messenger bag that time. I am lucky, after 10 years, Alpaka launched the Decade Edition. I am carrying it to office and to work every where

Quality of the the 7ven is outstanding as usual for Alpaka. It has become my number one EDC bag. Packaged really well and shipped in a timely manner. Always a pleasure dealing with Alpaka.

The bag is just OK. The OG model feels better 100%. This bag feels bigger, which is nice. But I not 100% a fan of the changes. If you buy the OG second hand, I'd honestly recommend it. I still have that one and have had ZERO issues. This bag hasn't given me issues either but I think the changes to the interior with a stiffer divider, less pocketed storage for a cup on either side kinda bring this one down in comparison. I appreciate the removal of the strap that was on the back of the OG and the perceived increased in space. I think if the velcro strap on the interior didn't change, the pocket on the shoulder cushion wasn't sacrifced and the biggest thing being the change to the material for the external of the bag was the same, this bag would be a smash hit. Please bear in mind, this is only my opinion in comparison to the previous bag BUT this is still a QUALITY bag. I see this lasting me just as long as the OG has and still is. Kudos to the brand for doing something with the OG after all this time, I'm just not a major fan of all the changes.
