Ella Dress in Cotton Gauze

Lovely dress.

I love the dress. The color is soft and feminine and very true to color. It’s light and airy. Very breathable for hot days. It’s got plenty of room for a growing belly. The fabric will definitely require handwashing to last, but isn’t as thin as I had feared it might be. The dress did bleed on the first wash, I have only washed mine once so don’t know if it will continue or not. It’s pockets easily hold my phone and keys and are also sewn to hide whatever you put in them within reason, and don’t dump the phone or keys out when you sit down. My only complaint is the dress sleeves don’t end in elastic, they end in a solid cuff. Which are too tight for my arms, I bought a size medium and my arms are 12” in diameter. For a dress that is made and marketed to accommodate fluctuating weight I feel like it’s an oversight. Not everybody has willow slender arms like the dress models. I’m 5’10” and currently weigh 190lb with a bust somewhere in the D range.

More Colors, Please!

This dress surpassed my expectations!! It is the most comfortable piece of clothing I have for pregnancy and it will still be a favorite easy outfit when I’m not any more. The neck is surprisingly stretchy, so I know nursing will not be annoying at all, but it has better structure for the neckline than I’d expect for such stretchiness, so it doesn’t reveal my bra straps at all or need to be off-the-shoulder if not wanted. I never usually look for duplicates of any clothing, but for this one, I do keep checking for more colors available. (Maybe someday some prints, too?) I’m 5’7”, 19 weeks pregnant, and 152lbs (normally about 140lbs). I bought a size Medium and I could probably have just made it into a Small, but the Medium is very comfortable, not tight or too loose. I love this short sleeve option so I can wear it in spring and early summer, simply adding a jean jacket or sweater during the winter. Thank you so much for using organic cotton gauze!! And 100% natural fibers in so many pieces

The quality of the fabric is very poor for the price I’ve paid for.
