A unique and versatile device.
There is a learning curve, as there is with many amateur radio devices. It is especially important to read and understand the manual with this device. Doing that will speed up the learning curve greatly. I have had the Cypher since firmware version 1. There were some shortcomings in that version that I wrote to Eric about. He noted my suggestions and observations. Most of them were addressed in version 2 about two weeks later! I was told the rest will be included in version 3. Version 2 is a vast improvement in weak signal performance and operational features. Support has been fantastic. Very fast and responsive. A very unique and useful device that keeps improving. I have made many contacts with it. I can't wait for Version 3! David KD2UBX

Thanks for helping to keep Morse alive! We enjoy sending our own dots and dashes but need a little help on the decoding side. The device can be used on receive side alone and does not necessarily need to be used for keying the transmitter. We like that. Also a plus is working with tablets instead if bulky computers. No driver or com port BS.

Very impressed with out-of-the-box performance
Well Packaged and arrived before I expected it. Read the Manual, powered it up, re-read the manual and got it going with little effort. Registration was the most difficult part of the process. Impressed with the performance, have been using it with the IC7300, have not tried it with the MMX yet. Still learning its features/functions, but I have great hope for a the future of this device. Works flawlessly with either a Cell Phone, Android tablet or PC.
