Rotatrix Wired — Self-Install Kit

The idea is very good but still a little bit frustrating. Wired kit take away wireless connectivity but get rid of the coolest Kengsington effect which is the click sound when rotating. On the software side the soft use the same port as the 3DMouse so it became impossible to use both device at the same time.

The kit was easy to fit into the trackball although it did take me a minute to determine which was the correct way up to insert the ribbon cable. It's nice to finally be able to use a single device with CAD rather than having to swap between two devices, standard trackball and spacemouse, to work on designs.

It's a pleasure to use this input device, however my learning curve is unique. I come from many decades using a mouse with my left hand, so I thought I would do a drastic switch and use the Rotatrix with my right hand, which makes for a better Blender experience because most of Blender's dominant key commands are set up on the left hand side of the keyboard. Despite of all this self-imposed "newness" the Rotatrix has a solid and intuitive feeling giving me an exciting rebirth into the 3D world via Blender. I must say the instructions for the wired DIY kit were more than excellent. I completed the modding quickly and without error due to the thorough and easy to follow instructions. Thank you David!
