It is the best wide body I have used. I gained some pop without losing any control. Great for resets. A few of my fellow players have purchased the paddle.

I already played and loved my Mach 2 Forza WB but the shift was on sale so I grabbed it. Night and day. Straight out of the box the WB Shift played so well. Way more pop for easy put aways at the net but still easy to control resets and drops. I couldn’t believe how much I loved this paddle. Thank you Volair for this great weapon of war and sorry Joola sucks so much. Go back to the lab and forge a new paddle and I promise I’ll line up to buy it.

Moving from Mach 2 Forza to Shift WB

I searched for a long time to find my next paddle—one that would be everything I love about the Mach 2 Forza (spin, control, touch, fast in the hands) while also giving me more power when it’s time to give my opponent more velocity. Lots of paddles claim to be this, yet they require you to “downgrade” from the Mach 2 Forza’s ability to work a soft game, which is my style of play. I took a chance on the Shift WB based on Volair’s pitch, the specs, and reviews. I’m am absolutely thrilled with this paddle so far—it’s been about two weeks and I’m already experiencing a new dimension in my play that’s helping to win more games. I may experiment with lead tape based on reviews I’ve watched, but out-of-the-box, this paddle is fantastic.
