It is very Pretty and hold heat well but because of the shape of the spout and the lid fitting loose getting a smooth pour is difficult and some tea leaks through the lid while pouring

A very versatile piece
I bought this to replace a thick walled gaiwan that I used for compressed whites. I was very pleased with it from the first use. The balance and pour are great and it holds the heat very well so highly compressed leaves get to steam between steeps. Overall a fine basic piece for any collection.
