LV - Imagination (sample sizes)

This undermined my trust to Cologne Decanted

Hi Team Cologne Decanted, You asked for my feedback on my recent 10ml order of LV Imagination, so here is my personal experience, which has deeply disappointed me as a customer. First, I ordered a 5ml sample of this fragrance from you. It was exactly what I expected, and I absolutely fell in love with it. Straight out of the bottle, it smelled like an expensive luxury fragrance that beautifully unfolded into a fresh, airy blend of rich black tea, smooth ambroxan, and that ultimate, high-end clean hotel soap vibe. Based on that great experience, I decided to order a larger 10ml bottle. However, the second one I received is completely flat, sour, and honestly repulsive. It literally irritates my nose and throat and is giving me a cracking headache. Instead of that beautiful tea and clean luxury volume, it just smells like a spoiled citrus mixed with some cheap, sharp soap extract. I also noticed that the price dropped right after my first order. Because of this, I strongly suspect that you were either clearing out diluted, oxidized bottom-of-the-bottle leftovers or, what is worse, a counterfeit. This entire situation has completely ruined my desire to order any fragrances from your shop in the future. Best regards

Very nice fragrance. Light and great for summer and fall. Doesn't last hours, but it's not an aggressive fragrance. It's light and not offensive to others. Worth the purchase.

I recently bought several Louis Vuitton perfume decants—Pacific Chill, Afternoon Swim, and Imagination—just to see what all the hype was about. ​Initially, I liked them all. I already knew that the longevity for Pacific Chill and Afternoon Swim was only about 3 to 4 hours, but Imagination was an absolute standout, easily lasting a solid 8 to 10 hours. I could even smell it on myself the next morning. ​Because I loved it so much—and knew I’d never get through a full 100ml bottle from the LV store—I decided to order a larger decant of Imagination. ​What a massive disappointment. This new batch is a total letdown—it barely lasts 2 hours at best. The performance is completely nonexistent compared to the first sample, leaving me incredibly frustrated and wondering if I actually got the real perfume or just paid for a fake.
