Really nice brush !
I own a lot of shaving brushes boar, synthetic, badger and horse hair. I've bought this shaving brush to give it to a friend as a gift as I have it and use it often for my shaves and I really like it. Usually boar brushes needs to brake them down a bit cos when you first use them are a bit stiff but after a month of use hairs split and becomes soft. Not the case with this boar brush. Omega have put quality hair on this one cos since day one the hairs was soft and not harsh at all. Keep in mind though that boar brushes needs a good 20-30 min soaking before use. I like this brush also because reminds me vintage shaving brushes. The knot is 24mm that is not massive either very small. It can easily lather triple milled soaps , crop soaps and shaving creams no problems what so ever. Excellent brush !!

Good, firm brush
I bought this brush thinking I was buying a badger brush, as I didn't read the description properly. It's actually hog bristle made to look like badger. Turns out this is not a problem at all. The brush is firmer than a badger brush - it has more "backbone" - but nevertheless it is easy to produce a full lather either in a bowl or on the face once you get used to it. The large knot means it covers a large area of the face quickly. I now prefer it to a badger brush. BTW the plastic stand it comes with is useless!
