The atmosphere in this novel is very good, and when things start moving they really start moving. The first half or third is kinda slow, but it shifts around the middle and then I couldn't put it down for long. It's one of those situations where you know vaguely what's up and you're just waiting for the turn. There's also the ever-present sense of being hunted and toyed with. I wish there was a little more of Doug because I think it would have amped up some of the emotion, but I liked the balance of all of the characters. Colin was a good narrator. The premise is such a good one, and if you're a fan of atmospheric horror I think you'll like this. There are a few scenes and lines that are still giving me chills.

Nicely creepy story set in the cold depths of winter in Klondike.
I could not put it down and read throughout the night!
