When kids hit a certain age, suddenly it's all video games and toys that are more grown up than I necessarily want to encourage. This was the perfect imaginative and fun toy for a ninth birthday.

We had this set up from a shelf to the fireplace on Christmas morning and it was an instant hit with our 6 and 4 year olds who enjoyed ferrying things back and forth to each other. We're looking forward to setting it up in other rooms and outside!
