A beautiful way to break away from the digital look
I absolutely love the VT200. It radically breaks away from that overly digital image while bringing a beautiful softness and organic feel to the footage.
I used it on my Indoor with artificial lights project, which combines different lighting temperatures : 2700K, 4300K and 7500K. What I really appreciate is how natural the transition feels when switching the LUT on and off. It doesn't feel like an artificial effect being pushed onto the image. The saturation and contrast are beautifully balanced, and the overall result has a character that I find incredibly cinematic.
For me, it's almost as if the film look filters out the excess information of a digital image, keeping only what's essential. The image feels less clinical, less aggressively digital, while retaining its depth and visual richness.
The VT200 doesn't simply soften the image. It gives it a different character, a more organic and intentional way of rendering light, color and contrast.
It's become a look I genuinely love using, especially for projects where I want the lighting and atmosphere to feel expressive without losing a natural sense of realism.

VT200 LUT
Really pleased with this LUT! I love the Kodak look anyway and the VT200 is perfect for the production I am working on at the moment giving the footage a fantastic lush appearance.

A really nice lut
I’ve been really enjoying this LUT. The colors have that distinctive Kodak Verita feel without making the footage look overly stylized. I especially like the way it handles skin tones and highlights. It gives the image a nice film-like character while still leaving room for further grading.
