Poor customer service

I bought a piston for a 1969 440. It was supposed to be a direct replacement. It was 50 grams different and the compression height was 60 thousandths lower than the original. I tried to return it a couple of times. The first time I spoke to someone who was sort of helpful. He couldn't give me any specs for the piston and told me there was two part numbers for the same piston. I told him I'd like to return it and he said he'd connect me with customer service,which he did. But all I got was, sorry there is no one available to take your call. I tried another day, same message. I guess I'll have to keep trying.
