After I purchased a Laguiole 12cm Nature pocket knife for my friend Trinity I spotted the Laguiole Leather Sheath and Sharpening Steel because I knew she would love it. The knife and sheath are a surprise gift for her when she returns to NMSU next month. Trinity is an artist and, in a sense, a fashionista when it comes to clothes and jewelry so I’m confident she will be delighted.

In love with a Laguiole

I have to admit that I have been guilty of an affaire du cœur with regards to my Laguiole, having admired them for some time now. But now it has arrived, beautifully packaged and presented and the reality is better than the fantasy. Not only is the build quality fantastic, but there is a beauty to its understated elegance, and the way it curves to fit the hand. Is it as practical as a Leatherman? Never! But it has captured my heart in a way my Leatherman never could.
