Good for on-the-go footwear drying

Purchased for a multi-day hiking trip where there's a high chance of rain in the mountains. I like that it can be used in the car between destinations. Tested it on wet sneakers at home yesterday, and they were mostly dry within a couple of hours. Also plan to use them to dry cleats between baseball games at away tournaments. Just be aware that the air flow out of the footwear will also bring the smell of the shoe with them...! The package said that they would warm up boots, but I didn't feel any heat coming off the device. Seems primarily for room-temperature drying. Will be bringing to Europe so I hope I don't have problems using my voltage adapter.
