I’ve been using Tascam mk1 488s since 2012. Long before the mkgee craze (no shade there lol). This channel strip really is faithful to the gain staging and touch of the OG model. I’m genuinely impressed and will use it on my tour next month. Thanks for the great work!

Outstanding, nostalgic console-ish preamp

To my ear, this is a fantastic and versatile preamp for a base tone. It has a pleasing warmth whether clean or distorted, and it's very dynamic. The pedal is built well, both structurally and visually. Only one minor nit: I wish the 9V plug was more firmly mounted to the housing instead of just being placed on the inside of the hole in the housing.
