Awesome folder
Just started collecting the Toor knives and probably still just under a dozen or so. So far, so great! These are great knives and the price is still right. Keep it up Toor!

I really didn’t want to leave a review like this because I already own another Toor and actually like the brand, which makes this even more frustrating. I’m not someone expecting unrealistic “glass smooth” action from a harder-use knife, and I’m not comparing this to ultra-high-end customs. I’m comparing it to what should reasonably be expected from a $325 production knife in today’s market — and honestly, this falls well short of that standard. The issues started almost immediately. The liner lock develops noticeable lock stick if the knife is opened with any authority at all. The lock engagement feels overly aggressive and inconsistent rather than solid and confidence inspiring. Instead of feeling broken-in and robust, it feels like the lock geometry is fighting itself. On top of that, the coating is already visibly wearing and peening at the lock interface and along the liner edges under the scales after limited use. Some wear on coated lock faces over time is understandable, but not to this degree and not this quickly at this price point. The rubbing and finish degradation make the knife feel prematurely worn rather than properly used. What makes this harder to ignore is that I own another Toor — the Draper in Magnacut — and the overall quality difference is night and day. The Draper feels refined, solid, and properly executed. This feels rough, sticky, and poorly tuned by comparison despite living in a very similar pricing bracket. And that’s the real problem here: value. At around $325, this knife is competing directly against some of the strongest production folders on the market. Spend barely more and you start entering territory occupied by knives widely considered “gold standard” carries in terms of action, tuning, lockup, machining, and finishing. Instead, this honestly feels like a $175 knife being sold at a premium price based more on branding than execution. The steel choice doesn’t help either. S35VN is perfectly serviceable, but at this price it no longer feels competitive when other companies are delivering better fit and finish, better lock execution, and often newer steels for similar money. I wanted to love this knife because I know Toor can make a good product — I own proof of that already. But this particular model feels underdeveloped and overpriced, and I can’t honestly recommend it anywhere near its current MSRP. 3 stars for looks and brand respect but I could have justified two.
