Unlike the matching dress, this is exactly what it says it is, size-wise. I thought it was going to be a little oversized like the dress, but no. I had to loosen it up quite a bit to get it to fit me. For reference, I'm a 24-25" waist and had to loosen this several inches to get it around me and the dress. Thankfully, there's a nice back panel of the same fabric, so it still looks nice. Glad I ordered this to fit the dress better to my body.
