Rhe bible in very Understandable Language

I bought 2 of the CEV Bibles as my 11 year old grandson said he wanted to read through the Bible with me. After asking several people which version would be best for him, I settled on the CEV . We are reading it together, taking turns reading aloud. I find that the language is appropriate and understandable for him. We have just finished Genesis. I just wish the printing was a bit bigger. I didn’t want to get the large print as I thought it might be too heavy for me, but maybe I should have.
