Beautiful bag and exactly what I needed

This high quality bag has thick character-filled leather, which I love. It does not have a pen loop or really anything else other than open space. If your needs for a bag are not complicated or you have a small amount of supplies, this bag is an excellent choice. If you need lots of compartments and storage pockets, there are better choices. I am 20 years from retirement and know that I will work my last day with this bag in hand and will pass it along to one of my sons as this bag, due to its quality, will certainly outlast me. The top corners of the bag are a good place to slip a pen through the openings. The outside zipper pocket is perfect for my badge and lanyard and would easily hold a small field notes notebook with leather cover. This bag easily holds my 15" laptop, paper notebook with leather cover and a few files. If you commute with a lighter load and do not need a shoulder strap, this bag is an excellent choice and should last for decades.
