The design of the bookstand is very good. It allows me to lean the book or seat it, depending on the book's size. However the foam rubber filling "under the hood" makes one's lap uncomfortably warm after a bit. Sometimes I toss the book stand to the floor because I'd rather do without the support.
Perhaps someone can think of a better filling?
