This is the best book I have come across. It is a great sewing book as it goes into details with notions, thread, fabrics. Informs you when to use them, how to sew them, needle to use, what to look for. It answers all the questions that you have and don't know where to look. The paper the book is made out of is fabulous, not super thin, this book was made to turn pages and use it frequently. Once you have the book open it stays that way until you turn the page. Plus through out the book it gives you little notes to pay attention to when you are working with the item. So happy I bought this book.

Ups my game!
I learned to sew in "Home Ec" class in 1978-79. My grandma was a Home Ec teacher, too! [smh] That said, this book informs my practice to an amazing degree!! Thank you, Annye Driscoll, for writing such a wonderful treatise on all these fabrics and unconventional materials. Even though I'm "experienced", I'm learning many new angles on the seamster life! <3
