I had my doubts but put them in one of four ponds as an experiment. After 20 days the improvement was noticeable and after 30 days the surface algae was mostly gone and water clarity had improved too! With those results I purchased the larger BioSphere Pro's for my 1/2 acre and 1 acre pond. I'll check back to see how they work in the larger pond....I'm optimistic.
