SHIFTER CABLE BUSHING UPGRADE (for various 2007+ vehicles)

Really great upgrade

I installed the cable bushing upgrade a week before I installed the 4 way adjustable shifter so I was able to see if the cable bushings made any difference to the feel of the shifter alone. Definitely did, shifts felt more positive, and snappy. A definite improvement. Putting the 4 way adjustable shifter in a week later took the shifting feel to a completely new level of feel. All products worth their cost, and the instructions for installation were super clear and concise.

Direct Shift

Honda makes a pretty good shifter assembly from factory. But OEM has a bit of "mushy" feel once you shift into gear. These bushings make the shift more crisp and removes that cushion from factory. This is the main upgrade from Acuity that'll make the greatest change to your shifter feel. If you don't want to buy their stage 2 kit, just buy these bushings. The only dampening materials on these solid bushings are the 2 rubber o-rings but where as OEM is almost completely rubber.

Best decision

Bought a used 2020 civic si and some of the gears were rough. I thought it was going to need a whole clutch. After some research, I decided to give the stage 2 a try first and save some money. First, I only changed the base bushings. Then I found out about the spring and cable bushings as well. Everything but the short shift basically. It made a huge difference. Smooth as silk now. Actually feels like a new clutch. Anyone thinking about one of those upgrades, I would say just get the whole stage kit. Very satisfied the way it turned out.
