Green Lacewings - Natural Aphid & Pest Control

So far so good. But I will need to do another application. I got 1000 Green Lace Wing larvae for four houseplants with scale and mealy bugs. Because I have to drive kinda far to pick up, I contacted the company who adjusted the shipping schedule and assured me the lace wings are hearty in shipping. Picked them up 1 day after delivery. Opened the container and put them right into my house plants as soon as I got home. They were visible crawling around the leaves almost immediately and one month later I still have the little ones plus some mature ones walking around the plant leaves. They really have eaten up probably 80% of hard bodied scale on one plant! Definitive decrease in scale over the month. The mealy bug plants will need another application as I see new mealy bugs on one plant which was quite infected. I’m not certain if these larvae are meant for spider mites too, but I’m pretty sure one of my little succulents has benefited from the lace wings being around too because I do t see any signs of spider mites on that little plant anymore. Will do another application soon.

Still have some peppers so I think its working. I now know what to do next year at the beginning of the heat in June. Thank you.

I wish I would have known about Sound Horticulture when I first started buying beneficial insects. Maybe it's because I'm close to the shipping location but I've been able to find more live larvae in the packaging than what I find with other providers.
