I'm a street size 7. So you'll have to adjust your sizing accordingingly. I have an "Egyptian" foot which tapers so I had to try on a size 9 first but there was too much space at my toes. The 8.5 works well. I can feel the sole while walking around in the studio but while dancing it's fine.
