I found the pattern so easy to follow, and it was so fun knitting with the chunky yarn and needles. The only negative thing for me was that I was thinking I was knitting more if a cropped cardigan; the finished product is quite big on me, even at the smallest size, so it's going to become my lounge wear in the evenings!

The merino wool is lovely and soft. As a beginner knitter, I have really enjoyed the process - pattern, how to videos - so easy to do.

My first knit - DONE! This was lots of fun and the videos from Cardigang made it super easy. However, it is REALLY oversized so if you don't want that choose a much smaller size and/or size down heaps. I got the Small kit and started with the instructions for the small size (I'm about a ready to wear 12). But I didn't knit as may rows for the back and fronts (36 instead of 44 K/P) and after I knitted the first sleeve I ripped it out and started again with 28 stitches instead of 40. I knitted the sleeves with more rows though, because I have long arms (as a sewist I pretty much always have to add 5cm). Now that I've finished I'm SUPER tempted to rip it all out and start again. I reckon I could do 25 - 30 stitches for the back, 10 - 12 stitches for the fronts and 20 stitches for the sleeves. But I like things reasonably fitted. I was wearing it today and it's really cosy. Oh and I added ribbing around the neckline to finish it off, which is really nice and easy to do watching YouTube tutorials on picking up stitches. I used 4.8 (ish) balls of the yarn. If I knitted it again I'd use smaller needles and circular needles, I bought a 12mm circular needle for the neckline ribbing.
