Don't leave only footprints
I'd read some reviews about the footprint requiring extra clips if you want to permanently attach it to the tent. Perhaps in a older version but in my new version comes with the clips. It's also a smart design so it doesn't come right to the edge of the tent, which is what you want as the gap allow the outer rain water to find the ground and soak away rather than pool onto the footprint.

I purchased the footprint for the varde 2 with the varde 2 tent. I installed it after I seam sealed the inner (found out after inspection the inner top most part of the tent was seamed sealed at the factory). I placed the footprint under the straps to protect them from dirt and freezing in winter. The footprint being of good robust quality will most certainly protect my inner base and create more protection from the ground up. Tough bit of kick and recommend it to anyone purchasing the top quality Varde 2 from Nortent. Took me 4 minutes to install.
