Monster High Skullector River Styxx Doll

The packaging could be improved. The artwork on the box looks AI generated, and it takes away from the overall presentation. It would be great to see original artwork created by a professional artist instead of relying so heavily on AI for the doll’s packaging. Custom artwork would make the products feel more unique and polished.

I feel like parts of her were done so well, like the concept, outfit, and skeleton embedded in her. That being said, feel like for the price she should have had a better makeup/face paint job or a ribcage embedded in the torso to fully commit to the concept. The packaging is different, but it’s indicative of AI usage and there are too many inconsistencies in the background for the price.

I love river, she has beautiful details. I love that theres a skull inside. Her scythe is gorgeous, the hourglass is so detailed! I wish she had come with her pet raven. As well as more painted details on the bigger accessories, some silver would have looked so cool. That said, there’s places she could improve. We know mattel has the technology to put a ribcage in her torso, but there was a distinct lack of one. With such a unique body, that’s something as a consumer I am willing to pay for. Why not fully commit? I can understand the upper arms not having inset bones bc of the pegs, but the could have painted/ printed on it instead. The AI usage on the background was also very, very disappointing. Pay an artist, please. The glitter hour glass was a misstep to me. It did not need to be included. There’s a lot i love about this doll, but theres a lot mattel can improve as well. I don’t know if anyone besides other customers will read this, but please, hear doll collectors out.
