Oriental Beauty Oolong

Smooth and Subtle

I have been drinking Oriental Beauty Oolong tea for a very long time. I realize tea, like wines, are different with each harvest. I was surprised (and somewhat disappointed) at how mild and mellow this harvest is. But, then again….I do not know with certainty that this is this year’s harvest. It lacks the honey-peach scent and flavor associated with this tea. It is good tea. It’s just not stellar. In an effort to be fair and just, I will brew several pots, each with fresh leaves. Then, if I find my brewing was in error (I’ve been brewing this tea for years) and this tea really blooms with its classic honey-peach scent and flavor, I will gladly edit my review. Still, this is an acceptable tea for settling into my evening.

Smooth and awsome

Oolong tea from Grace has always been a favorite of ours. It is a very smooth tea, with substance, yet closely balanced to yield the most flavor without becoming bitter or overbearing.
