My favorite piece of equipment in my gym. I really like the Barrett Belt Squat as it helps me to lift heavier and not put the load on my back. I'm 66 yrs old and have lifted all my life and hands down I love my belt squat! It is well made and easy to use! I also like how small it packs down to store! Well done!

I love the belt squat attachment! I’ve been searching for a good way to belt squat for years and hadn’t found one until now. Now I can finally max out my legs without blowing out my back. It’s also incredible for calf press and Romanian deadlifts. Highly recommended!

I had simply gotten tired of doing traditional barbell squats, going up in weight was starting to get spooky on my back, especially as I had to regularly do more manual labor to maintain my property.
This is the first belt squat device I've ever used, and was the primary reason I went with the Apex system in the first place. As far as I'm concerned I'm not sure how it could be better for my purposes. Assembly was easy. Installation and loading is excellent. I'm able to put 300+ pounds on it no problem. Being able to squat all the way AtG with no spinal loading or balance issues is fantastic. The arch feels very smooth and comfortable. I haven't used any other belt squat system but I have not noticed a commonly sited problem that is the weight distribution feeling like it's pulling you forward towards the bottom.
The kickstand is super convenient for setup. Being able to easily go straight from barbell squats to shoulder shrugs or romanian deadlifts is very nice. And when put away correctly leaves a very small footprint even if you don't plan on hanging it from a wall.
The only minor downside is when you fail on this thing there isn't really a way to 'catch' yourself or set up safeties; you're going down with the ship. That's not a problem with this device in particular that's just a generic issue with this exercise in general. Even when that happens I never feel like I'm in danger of hurting myself. Overall I love this attachment and see myself using it weekly for a long time.
