Great Device
This product is absolutely awesome. I watched every YouTube video and everything I could digest online, payed attention to the issues that people had and I’m happy to report that none of these issues/glitches still exist , so anything you see online that is negative you can disregard, battery life is great, accuracy is superb, never an issue with the screen not reading a measurement, no problem updating etc. etc. etc.I am not a professional carpenter, but I am in the middle of doing 30+ casement moldings on windows and doors in a high value home. The Tomahawk has made me not only much more efficient and has a far far Superior user experience as compared to a traditional tape measure, but most importantly it has made me much more accurate and faster/efficient. All my work is exactly spot on, the laser is extremely handy (like when you’re on a ladder and you have to measure over your head, you don’t have to guesstimate, just use the laser and the screen reads. This could easily cost me a quarter inch in the past especially when having to measure over wood that’s sticking out, insulation, etc. etc.. ) the large display that can be flipped when measuring from different angles if you need , the inside measurement toggle , toggle 1/32 1/16 metric etc…I don’t even look at the tape any longer just the display (no need for glasses)! Recording each measurement on the e-ink screen with a button press without stopping and writing it down while on a ladder taking multiple measurements at one time or remembering wrong or questioning yourself and climbing back up the ladder (you know you’ve done it)…This is an indispensable tool once you experience it, if I were to lose mine tomorrow, I would immediately buy one. It is worth the price tag easily. Any mistakes I made in my woodworking, always came down to measurements or measuring lines, mind you I am very particular with my work … measurement errors/slop have been eliminated on top of that, I had a question, I reached out to Reekon and they got back to me immediately, which is great customer service. It is winter time now and I am inside using my track saw as to keep the dust to a minimum, in spring when the miter saw comes out I will without question be ordering the M1
