Asics are comfy but don't last

After wearing these shoes for 3 weeks, they have a hole in the left shoe at the toe box. I have Brooks that I purchased in October that were worn daily prior to getting these that don't have any holes in them. Will not be purchasing anymore Asics. They are super comfortable but I can't justify the price for only being able to wear them for 3 weeks.
