Old and new fishing hats

The old fishing hat was made of cotton, water resistant and the flap in the back did not blow up when the wind blew. The new fishing hat is made of polester but the back blows up when it is windy and does not block the sun. The new hat is useless for my area, which is windy most of the time. I have purchased about a dozen of the old hats and have given most of them to other fishing friends. They love them, but the new ones do not cut it.
