Absolutely thrilled to see this available. I take my dogs backpacking and have been in positions where they needed to be carried off a trail. A 35 lb dog seems like it shouldn't be a big deal but when it's hot, you already have 40lbs on junk in your pack, and your dog would rather NOT be carried, it becomes an issue. I love this because it works with the gear my dog already has on (her Bomber harness) rather than requiring you take off your dogs harness and fit them into an evac sling when they may be injured / difficult to move. I toss this into my pack and forget about it. I'm thankful to have it in case I ever do need it. I tested this on my 32 lb cattle dog and my friends 50+lb retriever and I could carry them both comfortably enough to get them out of a bad situation if necessary.

Having this on long hikes will be a game changer. I’m always worried about my dog getting injured on a hike and not being able to carry her back!

I love this rescue sling! I like to take our dog(8yrs) on walks, hikes, and the occasional mountain, and it is nice to have the peace of mind that if he gets hurt or overheated I have a way of getting him back safely. The first time using it can be a little tricky and if your dog is hurt the first time you use it, it could be hard. I would recommend practicing it ahead of time so that both you and your dog are comfortable and familiar with using it.
