(Don’t) Drop the Needle

This modern wonder saved my airbrush. My GSI Creos 0.2mm airbrush had started spraying with a noticeably skewed “cone” of paint, so I looked at the needle under magnification and it somehow had small gouges out of the tip – NO idea how. Because these SharpenAirs were out of stock for awhile at Maple, I bought a cheap-o needle sharpener from Amazon, but it simply didn't work (waste of money – what a surprise). When these SharpenAirs were finally restocked, I bought one immediately, and after running my needle through the complete 4-hole cycle about 3 times, the gouges were gone and my needle sprayed perfectly again. These are frankly a *little* expensive….BUT since it worked, you obviously get what you pay for. All I have to do is repair a needle a couple more times, and this unit will have paid for itself. Highly recommended!

This tool actually works. It costs as much as approximately 3 or so needles, so why not buy new needles? Less waste, more convenient, fix the ones you have, avoids orders or trips to shops.
