It is a good mirror/practice pad. It can do either. The flexibility certainly prevents easy breakage.
If you have it on an uneven surface where the mirror may twist a bit it does become somewhat like a funhouse mirror ... but not horribly so. It is still a good portable mirror for practice, durable and not easily broken, and it can serve as a decent practice close-up pad.

Mirror Mirror
Super fun for being able to practice. Really allows me to better evaluate angles. Having an additional card mat has been huge as well!
