Reusable Mimi® Menstrual Underwear

My search for good menstrual underwear is over!

I'm so happy to find menstrual underwear with white lining! Even before kids, having black lined period underwear didn't sit well with me, add on a potential allergy to black dye and I'd been on the hunt ever since. Then when I learnt about cloth nappies with my baby I found it even more ridiculous about the black lined menstrual underwear and pads everywhere! How was I going to be sure I was washing them well? What about bleach for sanitising and stains!? I jumped at finding these and was over the moon knowing they could go in the dryer! Meaning I could own less pairs and not have to wear damp period undies because I misjudged my wash routine. They're also really comfy. I did end up having to reorder and size down. I usually have to size up in undies from the size chart for every other brand, but the sizing down meant still great bum coverage and room for endo belly. Haven't had a chance to test during a period as they haven't returned since having my bub, but feel ready with these on hand. If only I found these earlier! Would love to see a low waistband version to sit under a C section scar but still full bum coverage (an impossible task it seems) if you release these as an everyday underwear with the current bum coverage but with maybe a light/sweat leakage version and bonus for also a low waistband or v waistband, I'd wear them everyday!

Postpartum: Menstrual pads and period underwear

I ordered two packs of the menstrual sanitary pads (1 pack heavy, 1 pack medium). Have used the heavy ones which are amazing for postpartum bleeding either during the day or overnight. I also ordered x2 each of the menstrual underwear medium/regular and medium/heavy. The medium regular are perfect for postpartum bleeding during the day and the medium/heavy have been perfect for postpartum bleeding overnight. I really do appreciate that with these, the pad part is white so you can track how much you are bleeding and that the underwear is high waisted, perfect for my recovery from my C-section. The reusables are definitely worth the investment for postpartum and I feel so much better not contributing disposables to landfill.

White absorbency is great

Really great to see menstrual underwear with white absorbency. This would be great for postpartum to keep an eye on blood loss. Sizing is on the generous size and absorbency does feel a touch thicker than other brands I’ve tried. Fabric is very soft with a good cut.
