Improper readings while using it as an input for a 100 amp breaker

I'm getting improper readings while using it as an input for a 100 amp breaker for my furnace after an electrician install. There isn't much details or technical documentation to debug myself. Using esp32 home firmware so I don't expect support but it's also unlikely to be a software issue. I wonder if it's meant for larger wires.

Needed these to track the use of a sub-panel. Only issue was they come with the "wrong" connectors so I had to go to a 3rd party to order those, at additional expense. Surely Emporia knows these are used this way and could just include the smaller connectors?
