Out of all of the fancier handles the black micarta drew me in from first glance. These C. Risner knives are as well made as any Jack Wolf or any other brand. My favorite feature of the C.Risner knives is the nail nick, you can just pinch between your finger and thumb, no nail necessary.

Great looking, hardworking EDC knife from Austin and TPK

Maybe the best so far!

I have really enjoyed each of this series of knives that Austin designed each one has been very very good. Excellent fit and finish and all punch above their weight. All have become regulars in my fifth pocket rotation. I was all set from early pictures for a crystallized ti coastline jack but then I saw the black micarta version which is now pretty much in my fifth pocket all the time. A great little knife! Now looking forward to what Austin does next!
