I purchased Vanilla Opulence without even trying the OG so I had nothing to compare it too but finally received a sample and its smell just as nice as the OG. Orena has not let me down since I started purchasing from them

I have quite a few Orena products. I love them all but this is my absolute favorite scent . It is very close to the fragrance it is inspired by and it helps my perfume last all day. It adds more depth to and already amazing fragrance. If you love Vanilla Planifolia or scents like it definitely grab this lotion.

This fragrance gives me gingerbread cookie vibes—warm, cozy, and lightly spiced. It feels like a scent that would truly shine in cooler weather, especially fall into winter, when those gourmand notes can really settle and bloom. I haven’t smelled the original fragrance this one is inspired by, so I can’t do a true side-by-side comparison with the OG. That said, based on my own nose, it reminds me of the warmth and smooth sweetness you get from MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold or Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit—that soft, golden, spicy-sweet comfort. I can definitely see why some people say this isn’t a “safe blind buy.” It leans very specific in its gourmand profile, and if you’re not into spicy, bakery-style scents, it might not be for you. It definitely doesn’t give vanilla. Overall, I’d rate it a 6/10. Cozy, nostalgic, and seasonally perfect—but not an instant must-have for everyone.
