From someone who drinks and presses coffee daily, the American Press has a real leg up on competition due to the ease of cleaning it. The only notable downside is the volume of the press. As this only fills 1 cup with change remaining, it essentially kills the chance to share with others to show your new press. I am very happy with my purchase, however, I would advise in the creation of larger models to allow for multiple cups to be filled.

Best Single Cup Maker

The American Press is simply the finest way to make a single cup of coffee. I have tried my best at pour-over, french press, Aeropress, even Americano with an espresso machine, but the American Press beats all. While it is certainly not the most convenient way to make coffee (all pod coffee makers are more convenient, but you do sacrifice quality on all of them as they are nowhere near the quality of any of the above methods), American Press takes more time and is not quite as easy at cleanup however it delivers taste in the cup far exceeding all other coffee makers I have experienced. I have been drinking quality coffee for a great many years. American Press takes it up a whole notch. I love this coffee maker.
