Ok unless you need to deal with support

I liked the innovative wall fittings and the cutting mechanism. It was easy to set up for a fairly competent DIY person. On the downside, I bought 3 and one had a faulty motor. After a few exchanges with support, they promised that they would send me another. They didn't. They ignored my next 3 emails. So I started again and the last message was that they didn't know how to handle my case and I need to wait for a supervisor. I'm waiting...

Great aesthetics; poor function

Dear SwitchBot team I wanted to share my experience with the SwitchBot blinds. I have previously tried ikea’s smart electric blind and loved them unfortunately Ikea discontinued this product. When moving home I discovered the smart blinds from SwitchBot. It seemed to pack in all the features that matter to me: modern design, and highly compatible smart home features. The blinds were packaged carefully and come included with a helpful number of tools and mounting templates. The self cutting feature of the blinds is really cool to watch in action. The blinds look modern and the motor can operate at a quiet and comfortable whir that isn’t distracting. Unfortunately I am completely dissatisfied with the SwitchBot blinds. The motor tube fails to grab on to the blind and frequently jams despite several attempts to follow the instructions to calibrate the blinds. I feel like I have wasted my time and money on this product and now they are cut to size I can’t return them. I hope SwitchBot can fix these issues because the blinds have the potential to be an amazing solution. I hope this review is useful to someone.

Great product. Got to use alongside curtain openers. Instructions said 40 minutes to install - took a little longer! The cutting tool was genious!
