I’m Only Happy When It Rains
Being born and raised in Arizona I miss the smell of the desert after a storm. This candle captures that completely. I now live in Kentucky. I don’t have that same smell when it rains. It rains a lot, but it doesn’t smell like a desert after the rain, so happy with this purchase. Even with the candle sitting there unlit, I can still get a whiff of the scent and it is intoxicating.

If I'm being totally honest here, I think I am a bit underwhelmed by the Arizona Monsoon! I think I was expecting a somewhat stronger scent of the aftermath of the desert rains (we have the same rains here in New Mexico) than what I've experienced in the three times I've burned this candle since receiving it. Granted it has not seen a lot of burn time and maybe I haven't yet gotten to the "sweet spot" - if there is such a thing. But that's exactly why I titled this review the way that I did. I'll continue to use it and see how things go, and if the scent gets more noticeable over time.

I lived in Tucson for many years and nothing smells like the Sonoran desert just before a rain. This candle comes as close as anything I have tried. It's lovely and soothing.
